Description
Description
Simple and light. The HL16 weighs 97 grams with batteries and sits on a perforated, reflective headband that wicks away sweat. Two buttons, so you find white and red light straight away.
Always powered. The lamp runs on 3 AAA batteries, which are included. When they're empty you can buy new ones anywhere, also when travelling or camping. So you never have to wait for a socket.
Light where you need it. With up to 450 lumens you see enough on a forest trail or in the park, and you tilt the lamp housing to aim the light. Use the red light at the tent or when you don't want to dazzle others. A lock stops it switching on in your bag.
A good, affordable lamp for short runs and as a backup. Often running long nights? Then choose a lamp with a rechargeable battery and longer burn time.

Why Fenix?
Why Fenix?
It's half past five, still dark, and the first kilometres follow a narrow forest trail. That's not the moment to think about your lamp: it has to be bright enough and last the whole run. That's exactly why we carry Fenix at trrail.com.
Fenix makes rugged headlamps with plenty of light and modes that are easy to operate, even with cold hands. Many models have a swappable battery, so with a spare in your vest you get through the night of an ultra. The range goes from a light lamp for evening runs to a powerful lamp for technical mountain trails.
For us, Fenix is above all a reliable choice: plenty of light, long burn time and built tough for rain, cold and a drop on the rocks.
