Description
Description
These pants protect and ventilate exactly where you need it. The front and back are made of stretchy softshell with a merino wool backing that blocks wind and light rain without getting clammy. Behind your knees, thinner stretch nylon lets heat escape.
They're built for high output on cold days. On a long climb at pace you notice you don't overheat, while you stay warm on a windy ridge or on the descent. The fit is close, so nothing flaps around or snags.
Storage is right at hand on the go. The secure pockets and the pass-through channel at the back hold an extra layer or your poles, so you can leave the pack at home on shorter outings. The hem zips run up to the knee, so you can pull them on and off without taking your shoes off.
Torn between these pants and tights or rain pants? Pick these for cold, dry, windy days. Expecting hours of rain? Go for waterproof pants.

Why Arc'teryx?
Why Arc'teryx?
When it starts raining halfway through a trail or the wind picks up on the col, you immediately notice whether your clothing works. Not a jacket you'd rather take off after an hour, but something you can rely on, whatever the weather does. That's exactly why we carry Arc'teryx at trrail.com.
Arc'teryx is a Canadian brand from Vancouver known for technical outdoor apparel. It's a premium brand: the clothing is light, comfortable and made for hours on the move, from long steady runs to ultras in the mountains. You pay a bit more, but you get quality you'll use for years.
For us, Arc'teryx is above all a reliable choice for anyone heading seriously into the mountains: well thought out, carefully finished and made to last.
