Description

A toe sock that comes up to just below your knee. It protects your lower legs from branches, grit and dirt on narrow or overgrown paths. It's not a compression sock: the fabric fits close without squeezing your calf.

Extra cushioning underfoot. It absorbs impacts from rocks and hard ground, which you notice most on long descents. The band around the arch keeps the sock stable in your shoe.

Less chance of blisters between your toes. Every toe sits in its own sleeve of moisture-wicking COOLMAX EcoMade yarn. On long distances and in wet conditions there's less rubbing.

Choose this sock for rough, long outings. On warm days or short runs the Trail Crew or Mini-Crew is more comfortable.

Why Injinji?

OK, toe socks may look a bit odd. But on a long trail they can be genuinely brilliant.

With Injinji every toe is wrapped separately. That lets your toes move naturally and stops them constantly rubbing against each other – exactly the spot where annoying blisters can form after a few hours. Especially if some sand gets into your shoes too.

Especially for long distances and ultras we think Injinji is a very strong choice. And yes, putting them on takes ten seconds longer. But if that keeps you comfortable for hours longer, we think that's a fair deal.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a compression sock?

No. Injinji doesn't mention compression for this sock; it's designed to protect your lower legs. Looking for compression? Take a look at the Injinji Compression.

Why a knee-high trail sock?

The high leg protects your lower legs from branches, grit and dirt. That's handy on overgrown paths, in mud and on long hikes through rough terrain.

How do I put on toe socks easily?

Pull the sock halfway on, slide each toe into its own sleeve and only then pull it up over your heel. After a few times it becomes second nature. Try them on a short run before using them on a long trail.

How do I wash these socks?

Injinji recommends a delicate cycle in cold water and line drying. That keeps the toe sleeves and cushioning in shape for longer.
