Description

A shoe that's all about comfort. The sole feels soft and springy without making you sink in. You keep rolling along easily and the upper wraps your foot firmly and airily. It feels familiar right away, even the first time you run in it.

You notice it most when you get tired. After a few hours on the bike path along the Amstel or the gravel paths in the Amsterdamse Bos, the cushioning absorbs the impact, so your legs feel less heavy. That's also nice on long recovery runs, high-mileage days or long walks.

Neutral and made for easy terrain. The shoe offers no extra support and suits runners who are naturally stable. The outsole grips on dry paths, but with the thick sole you feel the ground less: on technical trails, mud or steep descents you lack hold. Looking for a fast, direct shoe for tempo? For daily runs and walking on the road. Maximum cushioning (40 mm heel, 35 mm forefoot) with a soft feel underfoot.

Can I use the Atmos 2 on trails?

It's made for the road. For trails, you're better off looking at a Topo trail model, such as the Ultraventure or the Vista.

What's new on the Atmos 2?

An improved ZipFoam midsole, an upper made of recycled engineered mesh for good ventilation and a redesigned outsole with rubber where you need it. The OrthoLite footbed is antibacterial.

How does the Atmos 2 fit?

Typical Topo: a roomy, anatomical toe box with a snug midfoot and heel. The low 5 mm drop encourages a midfoot landing.
