Sealable soft flasks for extra security on the go
A soft flask should make drinking easy, not make your gear wet. With a sealable soft flask, you can lock the drinking valve when you are not using the bottle. This provides extra security during transport, in a full trail backpack, or when your soft flask is mixed in with other gear.
Why choose a resealable soft flask?
A standard hydration valve is primarily designed for quick drinking while running. However, if the flask gets compressed inside your bag or vest, a sealable version can provide extra peace of mind.
A locking mechanism is handy, especially if you travel to the start with filled soft flasks, pack gear close together, or frequently put your vest down. Just lock it briefly before departure, and open it again as soon as you start running.
Handy during travel, races, and long trails
A resealable soft flask is not only useful for trail running itself. On the way to an event, on the train, in the car, or in a sports bag, a resealable valve also helps reduce the risk of spills.
While running, you then use the flask as you are accustomed to: flexible, compact, and quickly accessible. This way, you combine the convenience of a soft flask with some extra control when you are not actively using it.
Sealable or a standard soft flask?
Do you primarily want a simple, lightweight hydration solution for your trail vest? Then a standard soft flask often sufficient. If you consider extra security against leaks important, then a sealable soft flask the better choice.
For warm-up runs, you can look at insulated soft flasks. If your water bottle is deep in your jacket, then a soft flask with straw be more comfortable. For a running belt are flat soft flasks often more suitable, while a soft flask with filter is handy when you want to be able to use water from natural springs while on the go.
Choose a resealable soft flask if you want to retain the flexibility of a soft flask, but want just a little more security during transport and between drinks.
