Cool and dry as the hours add up. The inner shorts have a 3D fabric on the inside that lets air through and dries faster. You notice it most on long climbs and in warm weather, when you sweat more.

Your gear close to your body. The pockets are placed so they stay in place while you run. That way you can carry a gel, for example, without anything bouncing.

Choose them for ultras and long trail runs. If you'd rather have loose shorts without inner shorts, choose another model.
