A low women's toe sock for off-road. Injinji made this version specifically for the female foot, with a band around the arch that keeps the sock in place. You notice it on descents, where a loose sock quickly starts to slide.
Double welt around your ankle. It keeps sand and grit out and stops the sock from slipping down. On dusty summer trails that saves you stopping to empty your shoe.
