Topo Athletic is an American brand that runs relatively small. If you're unsure, you can also look at the US size of your current shoes for comparison.
For the most accurate measurement, make sure to measure your feet at the end of the day, as they can swell towards the end of the day.

Description
Description
Waterproof trail shoe for wet days. The Terraventure 5 GTX has a Gore-Tex Invisible Fit membrane, so rain and soggy grass paths don't soak your feet right away. You notice it most on long trail runs in autumn and winter, when wet feet would otherwise get cold quickly.
Low and direct on technical terrain. You stay close to the ground and feel what's happening under your foot in corners and on uneven paths. A flexible protection plate in the forefoot absorbs sharp stones and roots, and on wet rocks and in mud you notice the grip of the outsole.
Torn between this and the version without Gore-Tex? Choose the GTX if you regularly run in the rain or on wet paths. If you mostly run in summer or through streams where water can come over the top, the shoe without a membrane breathes and dries better.
Choose it for wet, technical trails where dry feet and control matter more than cushioning.

Why Topo Athletic?
Why Topo Athletic?
After a few hours on the trail you only really notice whether your shoes fit your foot well. Toes pressed together or a forefoot with too little room: that's no fun over a long distance. That's exactly why we carry Topo Athletic at trrail.com.
Topo Athletic is known for shoes with a wide toe box, so your toes get room to move naturally. That brings comfort on long runs, even when your feet swell towards the end. There is a good choice for trail, from light shoes for speed to more protection for the long days.
For us, Topo Athletic is above all a comfortable choice for anyone who likes a roomy fit: simply a well-fitting shoe you can put the kilometres in with.
