Excellent control on technical terrain. The grip really comes into its own on wet stones, muddy sections, and steep climbs or descents. The sturdy yet breathable upper keeps the foot firmly in place when the terrain becomes unsettled.
You notice the support especially as the mileage increases. When fatigued, during technical descents, and on lopsided landings, the stable construction helps maintain control. As a result, the Genesis 2 is well-suited for long trail runs and technical ultras.
Choose it for grip, stability, and long technical days. For fast, flat trails, a lighter and more direct shoe makes more sense.
