Description

A soft microfleece beanie that keeps you warm without feeling heavy. The fleece insulates well and wicks moisture away from your skin, so your head doesn't get clammy as you warm up. It's so light you barely notice it while running.

Made for cold, grey days. Think an early long run in frosty weather, a loop through the park in drizzle or a winter walk. The water-repellent finish lets light rain bead off. You notice it most at the end of a cold run, when your pace drops and you start to cool down.

Torn between this and a waterproof beanie? For downpours or long outings in the rain, a waterproof beanie is the better choice. For intervals or fast tempo runs, fleece can be too warm.

In short: a light, warm beanie you can wear black or grey.

Why Sealskinz?

Wet feet on a muddy trail or cold hands on an early winter start: it makes a long run a lot harder. That's exactly why we carry Sealskinz at trrail.com.

Sealskinz is a British brand known for waterproof socks, gloves and hats. They keep you dry and warm when it's wet and cold outside, from a wintry long run to a long outing through boggy terrain.

For us, Sealskinz is above all a practical choice: dry, warm and made for bad weather.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Winterton waterproof?

No, it's water-repellent. Light rain and drizzle bead off, but in heavy rain it will get wet.

Can I reverse the beanie?

Yes. One side is black, the other grey, so you choose which side to wear out.

Can I run in it?

Yes, the microfleece is light and wicks moisture. At high intensity it can get warm, though.

How do I wash the beanie?

Wash at 30 °C, drip dry and do not tumble dry. Do not iron, bleach or dry clean.
